Yes, they would hesitate. While the lords and masters in Washington City have
no problem invading a foreign place where most of the folks are foreign, and
most of them aren't going to church on Sunday, they have a big PR problem if
they blow away the source of 20% of the real maple syrup on the planet. (New
Hampshire and New Brunswick produce more and better maple syrup, Vermont
produces better cheese) (California produces better pornography than any of
those places, but that's a different show).

If the DC dickheads nuke Vermont, they poison New Hampshire, Maine, and
probably parts of Quebec and Massachusetts. I don't think they're ready to go
that far. Yet.

The Bible says (in Palms 90:10) that "The days of our years are threescore
years and ten", yet Xtians frequently defy G-d's will and continue to preach
rather than commit suicide on their 70th birthday. Yeah, the Psalm says you're
allowed to live to eighty, but you're going to suffer if you do that, so you
might as well just kill yourself. Suicide is not a sin in the Old Testament,
and I can't find the spot in the New Testament that changes the status. (This
blasphemy is an original from me [wdg3rd], the sort of thing I strive for).
