Hi Roy, The problem is it did not give me anything. I ran make run_examples and it did not progress. This was with petsc-3.4.2. I was then able to build 0.9.2.1 successfully and that worked fine.
I am working on installing gcc4.8 on this machine. So this should not be problem for too long.
