It works with 5.x versions but has never been tested with version 6.x The quickest fix that you can do yourself is to install a 5.x version of VTK and use that. I'm not really sure what the right fix for the library is. We need to know how to link against VTK, so in the absence of a "vtk-config" type script, we just guessed that it was "-L$VTK_LIB -lvtkIO -lvtkCommon -lvtkFiltering" in the past, that obviously no longer works.
