Wed. night on WBZ, David Brudnoy (history prof, movie reviewer, radio talk show host, and TV news analyst), being interviewed on the final installment of his own show, revealed he was close to death from Merkle cell carcinoma. He'd been treated for it a year ago, and we'd all thought he was OK, but it showed up again in his kidneys & liver and his health had deteriorated rapidly.
