Nazisophobia: A Definition

Human rights groups have identified eight components that they say define
Nazisophobia.

This definition, from the 2007 document 'Nazisophobia: A Challenge For Us
All' is widely accepted, including by the Islamic Monitoring Center on
Racism and Xenophobia.

 The eight components are:

 1) Nazism is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.

 2) National Socialism is seen as separate and 'other'. It does not have values
in common
with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.

 3) Nazisism is seen as inferior to other political philosophies. It is seen as
barbaric,
irrational, primitive and racist.

 4) Nazisism is seen as violent, aggressive, threatening, supportive of
terrorism and engaged in a 'clash of civilizations'.

 5) Nazisism is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or
military advantage.

 6) Criticisms made of the West by Nazis are rejected out of hand.

 7) Hostility towards Nazisism is used to justify discriminatory practices
towards active Nazis Bunds, and exclusion of Nazis activists from mainstream
society
(Note: what happen at the Aryan Nation Compound in Idaho, etc.).

 8) Anti-Nazis hostility is seen as natural or normal.

Actually, the above list was a defining of Islamophobia, and I just basically
substituted the word Nazis for Islam.

Food for thought.
