👩🏽‍🏫 *From Language Teacher to Librarian: A Volunteer’s Journey*

In Nigeria, a language teacher at FGBC Abuja transitioned into a library
support role, drawing on her experience with Wikimedia projects. With
minimal library staff, she co-led a complete renovation and reorganization
of the school library, eventually donating over 11,000 books to nearby
schools.

📍 *A New Chapter: Partnership with Municipal Library in Prague*
*(Published: October 2024)*
Over September and October 2024, Wikimedia Czech Republic collaborated with
the Municipal Library in Prague to organize five diverse events, including
edit-a-thons and librarian trainings. The partnership focused on skills
like uploading images, editing Wikidata, and documenting local library
branches.

📚 *#1Lib1Ref in Anambra: Librarians Boost Information Quality*
*(Published: January 2025)*
The 2024 #1Lib1Ref campaign in Anambra State, Nigeria brought together
librarians, students, and Wikimedia community members. Participants added
citations, uploaded media, and completed over 2,000 Wikipedia edits,
reinforcing the role of libraries in promoting accurate and open
information.

👵🏽 *Wiki Senior Seminar Gains National Accreditation in Serbia*

engage retirees with Wikipedia, has been officially accredited by the
National Library of Serbia. This recognition ensures the seminar’s
professional quality and encourages intergenerational learning through
libraries.
