Varnish is a true success-story. Our (Norway's) biggest news paper had slow pages and needed something to speed them up. They contacted Linpro here in Oslo, and funded the development of Varnish. It replaced many former Squid proxies with one Varnish. Of course, Linpro released it as free software. Suddenly all of the biggest sites in Norway used Varnish, well, and now I see it's run on most big web sites. Of course, the biggest news paper in Norway only got benefits from the continuing improvement from others. A great story, makes me all fuzzy inside. :) -- Beste helsing, Odin Hørthe Omdal <[email protected]> http://velmont.no _______________________________________________ Libre-fm mailing list [email protected] http://lists.autonomo.us/mailman/listinfo/libre-fm
