As briefly mentioned in yesterdays exchange on this list with Francis, also here: http://libreboot.org/docs/tasks.html and here: http://www.coreboot.org/pipermail/coreboot/2015-April/079773.html (coreboot.org is offline for me though, so getting more information is not possible at present) the KGPE-D16 (http://www.asus.com/Commercial_Servers_Workstations/KGPED16/) might be available to us in the time to come, provided funding will happen.
In contrary to the KFSN4-DRE/SAS it supports newer, faster and more efficient CPUs. Will this include support of AMD 6300/6300P series CPUs with libreboot? http://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1000888/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Opteron_microprocessors#Opteron_6300-series_.22Abu_Dhabi.22_.2832_nm.29
