Hello folks, I am proud to announce that the first piece of software using libredwg (as far as I know, and except for LibreDWG examples) has just been committed.
GRASS is a free software GIS (Geospatial Information System). v.in.redwg is a port of v.in.dwg, which used DWGDirect, and is a plugin that, as the name suggests, imports dwg files as vector data. To try it, build or install GRASS[0] and check out the source code of the GRASS-AddOns-svn: svn checkout https://svn.osgeo.org/grass/grass-addons/ grass-addons The plugin is in grass-addons/vector/v.in.redwg Since I wrote the code based on the main source tree (svn-trunk) and then moved to the addons tree I'm not sure if it will work out of the box or even build, as stated in [1], but I will work on it soon. If you happen to hack on it, send me a patch and I will integrate it. Happy hacking! pitanga [0] http://grass.osgeo.org [1] http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/GRASS_AddOns#Building_and_installing_Addons -- Rodrigo Rodrigues da Silva PoliGNU - Grupo de Estudos de Software Livre da Poli/USP GNU Project
