That depends on your environment, and I cannot repro it.
log.in has #!@BASH@
with BASH expanded to the path of bash, /bin/bash on linux or
/usr/local/bin/bash on BSD's, macOS has 3 major options: old included,
homebrew, macports.
and this tool is not installed, only used for local testing.
