In Writer, open Customize->Keyboard; start typing "spot" in the "Functions" filter box (making sure that "All commands" is selected in the "Category" list box). The "Function" list box will show three items: "Spotlight Character Direct Formatting" (.uno:HighlightCharDF); "Spotlight Character Styles" (.uno:SpotlightCharStyles); and "Spotlight Paragraph Styles" (.uno:SpotlightParaStyles).
