But comment 70 _is_ a proposal: Using a formula which can utilize a page-number
variable. What's wrong with that?

Why is this "on the other hand"? Do these two statements disagree? It seems
like it's "on the same hand"...

Comment 70 states that Writer supports inserting such formula fields generally.
Taking Mike's word for it (as I can't find this myself) - why won't such
MS-Word fields be stored as field when saving as ODT? Is there a known reason?

It's easy to follow and reach an understanding that it doesn't belong in the
Page Number dialog - and it's the UI expertise which was necessary. It also
looks like the discussion in the design meeting was not really concerned with
the UI aspects of the problem, which I and others have emphasized.
