So, let me close this.
As mentioned: the current two invocations situation is correct and intended.
Each invocation gets an argument that allows the programmer to see which phase
that is, and do an appropriate cation. The extra event, that was emitted in the
same phase twice, was removed, so each phase is only indicated once.
The API needs to be documented in respective IDL; that should be a separate
issue.
