Fixing the resolution (it's WONTFIX based on comment 19, not WORKSFORME).
Personally I (as someone living in a metric world, so not personally affected
by the issue here) do not see why this is closed, needed some poll, and so on.
We *already* have the different page size based on locale: when user has en-US
locale, *by default*, their new Writer documents will use Letter page size,
while basically in the rest of the world, the new documents will have A4 page
size. This allows to attach the default page margins to the default page size,
without affecting people who use metric system. It is hard to believe that the
2 cm default will *ever* satisfy a single person using Letter page, so using
*an* inch-based default *only in that case* would be sane and definitely
doable.
