Is there some typo in those two paragraphs?

If there is no typo, then we cannot reproduce the problem with attachment
195091.

I am assuming that you meant that when opening the original file in LO 7.6, the
values in column D ("X^4") were calculated correctly, but when opening it with
LO 24.2.4, the values were all the same (0.325345632081098, which would be
incorrect). But now, with attachment 195091, you cannot reproduce the same
behavior.

Is my assumption correct? Am I understanding you correctly?

FWIW, I opened attachment 195091 with LO 7.6.6.3, and executed recalculate
hard, saving the resulting values on a separate spreadsheet file. Then I closed
everything and repeated the steps with LO 24.2.4.2. I see no difference between
both versions.

I was expecting to see (at some point) the repeated "0.325345632081098" (or
whichever repeated value) when using LO 24.2. On which cells do you see this
repeated value? On which cells the value should be different than that?

Are you still able to replicate the problem, with whichever file? Or was this a
one-time occurrence?

Have you tried changing the OpenCL setting (and restart LO)? Do you get a
different result/behavior then (with the problematic file)?

I would suggest having a backup of the original file, and performing the tests
on some "worthless" copy of it, which you could just delete after finishing the
tests.
