Bug ID: 162217 Summary: LibreOffice 24.2.5.2 Writer stops responding when trying to edit a document Product: LibreOffice Version: 24.2.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ntrces...@yahoo.com Description: Writer stops responding even if it's the only app open. I just wanted to use writer to format, write up info for an online form, as it's output copies/pastes nicely. Couldn't paste. Couldn't select. It just froze. It would randomly take some of the keystrokes/ mouse clicks, and freeze again. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch Writer on Windows 11 Pro 2.Try to use it 3.Get frustrated as it keeps pausing for very long periods of time (up to 10 minutes for 2 keystrokes.) Actual Results: It froze/choked. Expected Results: To be able to use it like a normal word processor. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Allowed me to cut/copy paste, and generally all the things related to editing a document. This was a new document. No other programs open that aren't normally running. (VPN, Security). Never had issues with previous versions. Trying to roll back to a 7.x release. Unfortunately it'll lock up before I can get to "Help -About Libre Office". Not having issues with any other programs. Just did a clean install of windows 2 days ago. So, not a corrupt user profile. If that was the case, i wouldn't be able to save any documents, or find any of my old stuff. I'd be running in a "Temp" profile. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
