I'm on a Windows 11 PC which is up-to-date as is Libreoffice as of today. As it is a random problem, it's tricky to monitor all the time. The problem may not occur for a few Calc openings, usefully not more than 6-7. I haven't tried it in Safe mode again because I would have to open and close it several times for it to occur. I will give it a shot though. When I'm using Calc, and correct the format, it will stay like that. I've not had it occurring while using it but that's not to say several cells further down it might happen. At the moment it only seems to happen after a restart. I've just opened Calc following the update and tried a few entries in a column that should format to currency and had no problem so far. I should point out I have, a while back, completely uninstalled and reinstalled Libreoffice from scratch and just updated thereafter. I can't say how long I have been experiencing this other than quite some time. I'm now waiting to see if the update has had any impact.
