            Bug ID: 164713
Summary: LibreOffice fails to open following a routine update
                    of Kaspersky Internet Security
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.4 all versions
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I have Kaspersky Internet Security installed. Have done for years.

In Oct 2024, Kaspersky distributed an update. Up until that point LibreOffice
was working perfectly. Following the update and computer restart LO failed to
open. My solution was to remove LO and reinstall it. I contacted Kaspersky,
asked them to contact you on the issue. Emails were exchanged between me and
them. They did nothing but said their "product does not touch any third-party
software." Maybe. But it definitely did something because the LO problem
followed the update.

My solution was to uninstall LO and reinstall the latest version. Fixed.

Today, 15th Jan 2025, I had to restart due to another Kaspersky update. And
once again I had problems with LO. Just like last time the icon disappeared
before my eye from the taskbar. I then went to the start menu and found LO and
the various components. I put it back on the taskbar but it failed to open from
the taskbar. I then attempted to open Writer from the start lineup, but it also
failed to open. LO is essentially inoperational. I tried each of the options
from the start menu, but nothing opens. (It tries, I can see that, but does not
open.)

I know what I have to do: Uninstall LO, download, and install. Not difficult,
just annoying.

Perhaps you could contact Kaspersky and work out between the two of you what
the issue is.

I'm using Win10, not sure about Hardware, LO Version (I installed the latest).

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Wait for a Kaspersky update to be installed
2.Restart the computer as part of the update process

Actual Results:
The software fails to start.

Expected Results:
I expect the software to start when I attempt to start it.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It's all in the Description (above).
