Bug ID: 165943
Summary: Inserted image is not shown if the document is opened
in LibreOffice
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.1.2 release
Hardware: ARM
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If an image is too big, then it is not shown when opening the document, but it
is shown in MS-Word.
It looks like if the image does not fit within the margin of the document, then
it is not shown in LibreOffe Writer whereas in MS Word everything outside the
margin is simply not displayed, but the rest is displayed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a word document add a image, and scale it so that it does not fit
within the right margin
2.save
3.Open in LibreOffice Writer
Actual Results:
It will then look as if there is no image, but infact there is one
Expected Results:
That whatever is within the boundaries will be shown
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
If an object cannot be made visible, it would be nice if some kind of alert was
show.
