Description:
Trying to print a brochure onto an A4: 2x A5 on one side and 2x A5 on other.
It didn't print on two sides, it only put 2x A5 on one side of the A4 and the
next two onto another A4. When I launched the print again with the same
settings it did print as I wanted.
I couldn't figure out what was causing it, everything should be in order, but
then I noticed that LibreOffice's Print panel is quirky: it fails to remember
settings and other UI glitches. I thought it was norm for it to forget but it's
actually also an issue...
So I did a test: I opened the Print panel, adjusted the settings for printing a
Brochure as I wanted, then I closed the panel and opened it again: behold it
only remembered some settings, excluding the "Paper sides" setting, which it
defaulted.
That was the cause! The Print panel doesn't remember that setting for some
reason. Have to set it again after reopening the Print panel.
Now I set it twice as mentioned above before hitting print and I always get
print on two sides as I wanted.
This issue is present it multiple versions: in the previous major revision, in
the latest version and in one minor revision before.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Under Print set settings for two sided brochure aka 2x A5 on one side of an
A4 and 2x A5 on the other side
2. Hit Print
Actual Results:
The printer prints 2x A4 with 2x A5 on one side on each of them
Expected Results:
Print 2x A5 on both sides on one A4
Reproducible: Always
