Bug ID: 167872
Summary: Requesting a review/revisit of the "Sort"
functionality in LibreOffice Calc; bugs "may" be
present.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.4.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I will provide an example file where you can reproduce the problem here:
https://x0.at/rqKD.ods
Basically - even though I defined a database range called MainTable, when I go
and select said range (Data->Select Range) and Sort the table in the file by
the first column, [despite the Indexing column being formatted specifically to
Number] it doesn't sort the numbers correctly. See for yourself.
Please advise, maybe it is a bug or I have missed something.
This has been ran on Windows 10 with LibreOffice version 25.2.4.3 x86_64, on a
TUF ASUS laptop.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the file. (or create one yourself)
2. Use the table (or create table headers, autoformat the table to a colour,
add some values in, define a range & name it, select range).
3. Sort by the numbers (index column) seen (or add some numbers yourself).
Actual Results:
Sorting has numbers sorted incorrectly.
Expected Results:
Rows should be sorted correctly.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I spoke with someone who suggested perhaps my locale was at fault. I checked,
it was English (US). Don't think it's related.
