--- Comment #97 from theelous3 <[email protected]> ---
Windows 11 user here, still experiencing the issue. Tried safe mode too - same
same.

I've tried all of the usual load/save-> disable load printer with the document
stuff.

Also worth noting that if there are external references to other documents on
the system, the connection wait happens more than once, and consecutively.

Content of my help->about:

Version: 25.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 03d19516eb2e1dd5d4ccd751a0d6f35f35e08022
CPU threads: 24; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render:
Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-IE (en_IE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

I really don't understand the continued decision to even attempt a printer
lookup on document open. The overwhelming majority of documents are never
printed. In fact the overwhelming majority of documents are created on systems
that don't even have a printer attached. And the overwhealming majority of
starts of program are on existing documents. In fairness I know nothing about
the inner workings of calc or any other libreoffice software, but it really
just seems like cart before the horse design. Like a perfectly reasonable
solution to this problem is to stop looking up the printer entirely until
someone goes and tries something printery? lol

Cheers.
