Bug ID: 168398
Summary: Control-sweepmouse vs. separate Control-clicks when
de-selecting cells
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In Calc:
If the mouse is swept over several cells while holding down the Control key,
the effect is different than if the cells are clicked on individually.
If cells are de-selected individually, then rightclick->Format Cells does not
allow changing interior borders between columns; if the same cells are
de-selected by sweeping the mouse through them, then the problem does not
appear.
Please see attached screenshots where cells A4 and B4 are de-selected using
either method and then FormatCells opened
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached "borders.ods" spreadsheet
2. Use the mouse to select both columns A and B (sweep mouse through column
header area only)
3. Separately Control-click A4 and then Control-click B4 to de-select them
4. Move mouse to the still-selected area and Rightclick->FormatCells (Border)
Actual Results:
Interior borders can not be set. See screenshot_separate_ctlclicks.png
5. Repeat the procedure, but this time sweep the mouse across cells A4 & B4
while holding down Control (do not click).
Now inter-column borders can be changed (see screenshot_control_sweepboth.png)
Expected Results:
No difference in behavior
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
