Tex2002ans <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|NEEDINFO |RESOLVED --- Comment #7 from Tex2002ans <[email protected]> --- Marking this as NOTABUG. Yes, Comment 6 is 100% correct. It looks like paragraphs 1 and 2's "small letters" are SUBSCRIPTS. So: - aaaaaabbbbbb is all "13.5 pt" font, but the 'b's just so happen to be Direct Formatting subscripts. - - - You can see this if you enable: - Format > Spotlight --- Character Styles = ON --- Character Direct Formatting = ON The 1st one shows you the Character Styles. The 2nd one shows you the Direct Formatting (in gray highlight with a little "df" in the upper left corner). - - - Same with Comment 3. Yes, some of the 'a's use a Character Style called: - SingFastMark_Underline which is saying: - Give the text a "Dotted" underline but then you were immediately overriding with Direct Formatting too: - 13.5 pt font - - - NOTE: You can verify this by using the: - Alt+6 = Style Inspector If you click on around in the 'a's, 'b's, or 'x's, pay very close attention to the very bottom section in the sidebar called: - Character Direct Formatting it will show you where/how you were manually overriding your Paragraph or Character Styles. If you: - Highlight the text - Press Ctrl+M you can wipe away all the Direct Formatting, returning you to to the pure Paragraph/Character Styles. So, in general, it looks like your main: - Default Paragraph Style --- = 12 pt font then you manually overrode certain parts with: - 13.5 pt --- and SUBSCRIPTS! - 11 pt - 13.5 pt - 8 pt - 6 pt - - - And like m_a_riosv in Comment 6 said: - Direct Formatting will override all Paragraph / Character Styles. - Character Styles will override Paragraph Styles. So if you have: - "Hey! Make my paragraphs be 12pt font!" --- = Default Paragraph Style. - "Hey! Make these characters be 12.5 and underlined!" --- = a Character Style - "Hey! Make everything I picked be 13.5 and purple!" --- = Direct Formatting the final text would be 13.5 and purple (and underlined)... because the Direct Formatting has the final say! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
