            Bug ID: 168819
Summary: White Text on White Background in Dropdown Menus
(Font/Highlight Color, Line Thickness) in KDE Wayland
                    Dark Theme
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.2.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When using a dark system theme (specifically "Aretha-Dark-Blue-Color" on Fedora
KDE Wayland 42), several dropdown menus within the LibreOffice toolbar (such as
for Font Color, Highlight Color, and Line Thickness/Width selectors) display
text and menu content in white on a pure white background. This makes the menu
items, especially color swatches or line width previews, completely unreadable
or invisible.

Additionally, the scrollbar in these dropdown menus is positioned over the
content itself, which is visually distracting and further obstructs the already
invisible menu items. This issue persists despite the system theme being set to
dark. LibreOffice should either correctly inherit the dark theme's text color
for its dropdowns or use a default contrasting scheme to prevent this
accessibility issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.operating system is running Fedora Linux (version 42, for example) with KDE
Plasma on Wayland.
2.Set the system's color theme to a dark theme (e.g.,
"Aretha-Dark-Blue-Color").
3.Open any LibreOffice application (e.g., LibreOffice Writer).
4.Click on the right toolbar button that opens a complex dropdown menu/palette
(such as the Font Color button, Highlight Color button, or the Line Width
selector).

Actual Results:
1. The opened dropdown menu (e.g., the color palette or line width preview) has
a white background and the text/previews within it are also white.
2. The white-on-white text/previews are completely unreadable/invisible.
3. The vertical scrollbar for the menu is overlaid on top of the menu
content/items, obstructing the area even further.

Expected Results:
1. The dropdown menu should display text and content (color swatches, line
previews) in a contrasting color (e.g., black) on the background, regardless of
the system theme's primary color, to ensure readability.
2. The scrollbar should be correctly positioned outside the content display
area or use a non-intrusive style.
3. The software should correctly adapt its own UI elements, like dropdown
menus, to maintain proper contrast and prevent white-on-white text even if the
system theme has some inconsistencies.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
OS: Fedora Linux 42 - KDE (Wayland)
Version: 25.8.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d401f2107ccab8f924a8e2df40f573aab7605b6f
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 6.16; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Flatpak
Calc: threaded

I have attached screenshots illustrating the white-on-white issue and the
overlaid scrollbar. Even if there are issues with the system theme's color
definitions, the application should implement internal contrast checks for its
essential UI elements to prevent this critical readability failure.
