Bug ID: 170794
Summary: files saved as read-only
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Greetings,
I am using LibreOffice v. 26.2.0.3 (X86_64) applications on Windows 11
computers. I also have a Synology NAS with a share folder for document
sharing.
In Libre Writer and Calc, (those are the only LibreOfice applications I have
used so far) after an initial first-time save of a document to the share folder
on the NAS, all subsequent saves produce files (documents) with the read-only
file attribute enabled.
Also, to confirm, this behavior will occur even when saving and re-saving to
the share folder from the same computer.
This behavior also occurs when saving with native LibreOffice document formats
including .odt documents
This behavior does not happen when saving, editing, and resaving the Libre
documents to a local (C: drive) folder.
I do not have this problem when saving and re-saving Microsoft Office documents
to the share folder, even when working from different Windows 11 PC's using the
same NAS.
The work around is that prior to opening every LibreOffice document, the
read-only file attribute has to be turned off before opening the document.
Thank you for looking into this.
Wayne
