Bug ID: 170800
Summary: Unreadable black text on dark background in the menu
bar on Calc when using light themes with dark OS
theme.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When setting the LibreOffice theme to a light version (I tried Light Gray,
Light Teal, Office 2003 Blue), the texts in the menu bar are set to black, but
the menu bar itself is dark because my OS is using a dark theme (Dark Breeze).
I can either switch my OS theme to light to make the background light with dark
text or choose a LibreOffice dark theme, but using an OS dark theme with
LibreOffice light theme makes the menu titles unreadable.
I don't know about the base LibreOffice Light theme because after choosing it
and restarting the app it's still dark, but that's a different bug I guess.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Choose a dark OS theme (Dark Breeze)
2.Run LibreOffice Calc
3.Go to Tools > Options > Appearance
4.If Light Gray, Light Teal, Office 2003 Blue are not available, pick Add more
themes and install either one.
5.Choose either Light Gray, Light Teal or Office 2003 Blue
6.Click OK
7.Click Restart Now
8.Wait for the application to open
Actual Results:
The text of the menu titles in the menu bar is dark, on dark background.
Expected Results:
The text of the menu titles in the menu bar should be white, on dark background
(or black text on light background if the background is supposed to match the
LibreOffice theme, but in the new versions the menu bar is supposed to match
the OS theme I think?)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
