Bug ID: 170820
Summary: Menu key opens context menu for the wrong style in the
Styles pane (focus mismatch) under Wayland
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
When pressing the keyboard Menu key (context menu key, equivalent to
right-click) in the Styles pane of Writer, the context menu is not opened for
the currently highlighted/selected style.
Instead, the menu appears for a different style, typically the one visually
located near the center of the visible list.
Mouse right-click on a style works as expected.
Tested on Kubuntu 25.10 (VCL:kf6) and Endeavour OS (VCL:gtk3).
Note that file this as a bug, but I understand the Styles pane is in general
quite difficult to navigate via keyboard (no arrow keys support ?) so maybe
this is by design / intentional overlook for niche use.
Since LO has such good support for hotkeys, I do think it would be an
improvement to solve this.
