Bug ID: 170821
Summary: degraded usability of 'Paragraph Style' dialog
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In LO 25.8, the Paragraph Style editing dialog has been changed from a
top-tabbed arrangement to a side-tabbed arrangement, such that all of the tabs
no longer fit in the window. To find the 'border' tab, one needs to scroll to
off-screen content. (However, there is no scroll-bar associated with the tabs,
one can only use the arrows, and no obvious indicator to show if the off-screen
content is 'up' or 'down') Additionally, there don't seem to be any of the
obvious ALT+xxxx keystrokes to quickly navigate the tabs, as I believe there
were in the old dialog. I found that I can use up/down arrows to move through
the tabs, but no keystroke to get directly to the relevant tab.
Actual Results:
.
Expected Results:
Please ensure that new dialogs have been thoroughly tested for keyboard
usability. There should be an easily discoverable path to accessing features
that are being used repeatedly, without having to reach for the mouse.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
.I note that the help page for the new dialog is not correct, eg it still
refers to the 'Organiser' tab.
