You will notice that when saving an empty document, the set of unused styles - paragraph, character etc. - don't all get saved in the document. Now, it's true that there are two possible approaches: 1. Save everything from the template and the defaults, so that if a collaborator wants to add content in a yet-unused style, it will be the same style as the original author/saver of the file. 2. Save only what's been used in the document; whosoever wants to add content is not committed to whatever the original author had set, plus, they can always sync somehow (although TBH LO does not really facilitate this much for documents which already exist, as opposed to templates). we are currently mostly at (2.), other than some boilerplate saved in our files. So, please stick with that. So, the unaltered table styles should not be saved in the document. And, in fact, neither should the altered ones which have not been used.
