            Bug ID: 171107
Summary: Bookmark dialogue can be made more efficient
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Bookmark dialogue can be made more efficient.

Actual Results:
Bookmark dialogue (Insert > Bookmark):

To make this more efficient, please consider the following:

Name field: having "Bookmark 1" may be okay as a default, but would be
helpful if selected (highlighted) so that we can begin typing to replace rather
than having to remove it every time (I suspect many users might use more
descriptive names for their bookmarks)

Columns in general: should be able to set widths which then are kept
for at least the session; as it is now, every time the dialogue is accessed,
everything reverts to the default other than the window size

Columns in general: as a default width, the "Hidden" column, given that
it is a short Boolean field, should be provided minimum width so that defaults
for the other fields are wider; might help with the problem above

Rename feature: when a "Name" is renamed, the record pointer
immediately goes back to the beginning of the list; this is not a problem when
there are only a few bookmarks, but becomes onerous when there are dozens and
getting back to the next one to edit requires considerable scrolling

Expected Results:
Please see "Actual Results"

Reproducible: Always
