Sometimes, we are faced with the need to limit the widths of some columns,
while some columns have acceptable widths.
This typically happens when column widths have not been set explicitly; and
some columns have cells with long text, while othert columns don't, or _have_
been set explicitly. I experience this most frequently when importing a CSV or
text file.
To reduce the widths of those columns, there are two things we can do right
now:
* Select individual columns and set their individual widths.
* Select all or almost-all columns and set a single width for all of them.
The first option is tedious; and the second option undoes the work already done
choosing appropriate width for narrower columns, and forces you to then set
those widths manually again, or have them overly wide with not enough columns
visible in the document pane.
I suggest that a capability be introduced to apply a width _cap_, i.e. to have
LibreOffice reduce the widths of all selected columns, which are above some
limit value, to that value - without increasing the width of narrower columns.
UI-wise, this can be realized by adding some kind of toggle to the Format >
Columns > Width... dialog. It could be a checkbox (although the exact wording
of the label might be a little tricky), or it could be a two-state radio button
with the labels corresponding to the two actions, e.g. "Set" and "Cap" or
something like that.
