Bug ID: 171113
Summary: LibreOffice Writer automatically deletes line spaces
when you past in some text.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.3.0 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I like to use full blank lines to separate my paragraphs.
^ Like so.
But when I past in my work, LibreOffice deletes the spaces and uses smart
paraphraph spacing.
^ Like so.
I don't want to have to paste in unformatted text. Could you add a setting that
turns off smart paragraph spacing?
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Write some paragraphs in a different text editor, spacing each paragraph
with blank lines instead of indents.
2. Paste them into LibreOffice fully formatted.
Actual Results:
3. You should see that the blank lines were replaced with smart paragraph
spaces.
Expected Results:
When you paste in, it should still use smart paragraph spacing. But if you edit
a setting, it shouldn't do that anymore.
Reproducible: Always
