--- Comment #10 from Gerald Pfeifer <[email protected]> ---
As of

  Version: 26.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64)
  Build ID: 4bf07d898cd3084ff9012f11776d1489b103236c
CPU threads: 14; OS: Linux 6.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
  Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US

the issue appears gone.I cannot reproduce it on my new notebook's
built-in screen with 2880x1800 nor an external screen with 3840x2160.

So I dug out the original system with 3840x2400 and the issue no longer
reproduces, neither with a screen scaling factor of 200% nor with 100%.

(That said, I believe since the original report I had to switch from
X.org to Wayland; not sure this can make a difference.)
