The resolution set is 2048x1152 ("the biggest letters"). Standard resolution is 3072x1728. The highest possible resolution is 6144x3456. So, to repeat, status bar text and worksheet labels in calc are barely readable to me at 2048x1152. I'm attaching a screenshot for you to compare the text size in cells that is comfortably readable to me with status bar and worksheet labels.
