for Writer and Calc
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Follow-up to tdf#106137. The help pages for Find & Replace need to mention that
users can now use \uhhhh and \Uhhhhhhhh in the replacement string when regular
expressions are enabled
Steps to Reproduce:
Feature tdf#106137 was recently merged, adding support for expanding \uhhhh and
\Uhhhhhhhh Unicode escapes in the Find & Replace "Replace" field when regular
expressions are enabled.
Actual Results:
The current Help documentation for Find & Replace does not yet mention this new
functionality.
Expected Results:
The help page should mention the new feature: When using regular expressions,
you can insert Unicode characters in the replacement string using 4 hex digits
8 hex digits
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I will be submitting a patch to the helpcontent2 repository to implement this
change shortly.
