Bug ID: 171193
Summary: Opening existing password protected text file using
File -> Recent docs menu fails.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.1.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Opening existing password protected text file using File -> Recent docs menu
only briefly displays the dialog box to enter the password, so I am not able to
enter the password as I have done many many times in the past. However, opening
the same file by double-clicking it in File Explorer does display the dialogue
box properly and enables me to open the file.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open existing password protected text file using File -> Recent docs menu.
2. Dialogue box to enter password only momentarily appears.
Actual Results:
Could not open the file using this very convenient method.
Expected Results:
The software should have allowed me to open it for editing.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
It should have displayed the dialogue box statically until the password was
entered.
