I'd say it makes sense for widgets to be large enough to show the full text by
default.

Ideally, the UI toolkit takes care of this in case of native widgets. For qt6,
I can indeed not reproduce the issue when enabling the (still WIP, see
tdf#130857) use of native Qt widgets using SAL_VCL_QT_USE_WELDED_WIDGETS=1
while I can reproduce without it.
