It's not the pasting that "fails" but copy. And the reason is your missing
font. When using a font that is available on your system, you can copy the
content partially and paste it with the formatting. Note that I add "partially"
here since you can copy the whole cell content and paste it with formatting
somewhere else. A solution besides using proper formatting is to paste special
> unformatted text - and you get the format of the target cell that has the
same attributes like your source. => NAB (admittedly there is a minor
inconsistency when a missing attribute is accepted as it but I wouldn't invest
any effort in this)
