Libertine with Herculaneum samples showing problem
I have been using the Herculaneum, a TrueType Linotype font, for some years in
Writer without issue. However, when I updated to 26.2.1.2 and opened a book I'm
writing that uses it in a large number of places, the font was misbehaving.
I use the font via Applied Styles. Using substituted fonts, the text isn’t
reflowing to allow room for the words in Herculaneum within the space needed.
As well, if there is, say, a comma at the end of the Herculaneum word, the
comma appears two characters to the left of where it should be.
I have attached an unproofread document to show this problem, both in
individual words within the main text, and also several sentences in
Herculaneum. I cannot remove or deactivate the font as suggested in your
documentation to test it because it is a System font in Mac OS 26.4 (the
current OS). The problem also occurred in OS 26.3, before I updated the OS.
The only change in the environment that created the problem was updating
26.2.1.2 from the previous distributed quarterly versions of LO.
