Could this somehow be some kind of post-harfbuzz effect by the rendering/rasterization piplines on Windows/Skia and Linux/GTK3 respectively? e.g. something like ClearType or whatever? 5. I don't see the guillemet overlap issue in any of the PDFs. Are we really seeing a problem in PDFs as well as on screen?
