            Bug ID: 172296

          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal

Writer 25.8.7.3 Release

Re: AutoText is aggressively filling in words I do not want filled in.

Autotext that is NOT activated in the drop down menu, so I can't un-click it.
Autotext is now defaulting to ON with no way to turn it OFF.

When I stop typing, Autotext changes words that I do not want changed. I don't
always notice until much later when I look back over the document and have a
ton of editing to do, to remove the words Autotext has altered.

There is nothing to complete when I stop typing the word "War" I do not want it
changed to "warmongering." Can someone tell me what changed because I have
been using this software for years now, and I have never had this problem.

So, I have searched for an OFF setting everywhere. I've tried Help over and
over.

I've tried going back to an earlier download... and the problem remains. It is
as if Writer is now aggressively trying to assist me when I do not need or want
it's assistance - and in doing so, it is making errors in my documents that I
might not catch.

Please advise.
