Bug ID: 172317
Summary: Make titles resizable in Calc graphs (FORMATTING)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
The titles, subtitles and labels for the X and Y axes in LibreOffice Calc are
not resizable in version 7 and later. You can't expand the size of the title,
which is very inconvenient when you have a long title and don't want it to
scroll onto multiple lines.
It used to be possible to resize the titles in Calc graphs, but I noticed that
this feature disappeared when I upgraded to version 7 and all subsequent
versions of LibreOffice.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter data in a spreadsheet and then select it and go to Insert > Graph to
create the graph.
2. Add a long title to the graph, so the text will scroll onto the second line.
3. Double click on the created graph enter edit mode, and then click on the
title to edit it.
4. It is not possible to resize the title's text box.
Actual Results:
The text box around titles, subtitles and axis labels is not resizable.
Expected Results:
It should be possible to resize the text boxes holding titles in Calc graphs.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I haven't tried other operating systems besides Linux, so don't know if this is
a problem for other OSes.
