Bug ID: 172326
Summary: ODF-Templates: not possible to store a filename
template in them.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.3.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
A template should take as much manual work as possible. Consistent things
should already be present in the template and not have to be rewritten every
time.
I want documents from a particular template to always have the same file name.
The documents are stored in different folders, and must always have exactly the
same file name. But this does not seem possible at the moment.
Therefore, I ask that it is possible in Libreoffice to add a file name to the
template, with which the document is then created. Either via the field "Title"
in the document properties, or in the dialog "rename" (in the section "Edit
templates") as the second field, where you can enter the document title.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a .ott Template
2.edit it and give it a significant title
3.save it
Actual Results:
the file is saved as "Unbenannt 1"
Expected Results:
the file is saved with the significant title
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
This bug report is not about Libreoffice "guessing" a filname from the Titles
on the canvas. Its about the possibility to define the title of a future
document while creating the template.
