Christian Lohmaier <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] | |g Summary|Windows of LibreOffice |add support for |don't remember position in |xdg-session-protocol (to |the screen |restore window position on | |wayland) Severity|normal |enhancement Status|REOPENED |NEW --- Comment #8 from Christian Lohmaier <[email protected]> --- notourbug - it is a known grievance with wayland that it doesn't allow windows to place or group themselves. Only very recently a method to do that was actually accepted in wayland, but it will take a while until that is trickled down to new releases of compositor and similar. see https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/18 and also https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/264 and various other media reporting about the difficulties of getting stuff like that accepted into wayland. So while upcoming versions of Gnome will support it, there was just no way to do it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
