With the option "Delete spaces and tabs at beginning and end of paragraph" enabled (default setting), the behavior matches the reporter's description: Press Tab Type text Press Enter The leading tab is removed and the paragraph shifts to the left. Following the suggestion from Neil Roberts in comment 2 and disabling the AutoCorrect option "Delete spaces and tabs at beginning and end of paragraph", the behavior changes: the paragraph keeps its indentation after pressing Enter. This may be the intended behavior of the AutoCorrect feature rather than a defect.
