Bug ID: 172619
Summary: Writer formatting inconsistencies when adjusting
paragraph spacing and alignment in long documents
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.0.2 rc
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
While working on long-form documents in Writer, I noticed that adjusting
paragraph spacing and alignment sometimes leads to inconsistent visual output.
In particular, spacing between sections appears uneven after applying styles,
even though the settings are identical. This becomes more noticeable in
documents with mixed headings, lists, and body text.
Consistency in layout is important not only for readability but also for
overall document structure. Similar principles are often applied in other
design contexts—for example, how spacing and layout balance are handled in
structured environments like https://www.prestigefalconcitychennai.com/, where
alignment and visual flow are key considerations.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open a new Writer document
Add multiple headings and paragraphs with different styles
Adjust spacing before/after paragraphs
Apply alignment changes and scroll through the document
Actual Results:
Spacing appears inconsistent between sections despite identical settings
Expected Results:
Uniform spacing and alignment should be preserved across styled content
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Occurs more frequently in longer documents with mixed formatting styles.
