Bug ID: 172685
Summary: [EDITING] [FORMATTING] Character spacing choice menu
does not display when anything but "normal" spacing is
selected in LibreOffice Draw Text Box proprieties
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I tried to modify a pdf file with a lot of fields containing virgin rectangles
to draw each character (it's a bank document where you fill your account
number). Rather than putting spaces between each character to match the spacing
of the rectangles, I wanted to modify the spacing of the font. At first it was
working, I clicked on the appropriate arrow (pointing down) to select the
spacing in the properties area of my text box and the rolling menu appeared. I
selected "very wide spaced" (très espacé in french) to test. The function
worked but it was maybe a bit much. I wanted to test either the setting just
below or a personal spacing, but the rolling menu didn't appear any more. After
a while, I saw that if I did a ctrl+z to come back in normal spacing, I could
again see the rolling menu. By testing more, I saw that it seemed, the rolling
menu didn't appear when something else than normal spacing was selected.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Insert a text box in your pdf document
2.Write "anything"
3.Select another character spacing
4.Retry selecting another spacing
Actual Results:
On step 4, the rolling menu to choose your spacing doesn't appear
Expected Results:
The menu should appear
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
