Changed the title: at least in Linux I don't see any 'underlined' letter when I
press the Alt key. Not in 26.8 nor in 4.4.

In any case, it appears that the Quick Find toolbar is some very custom work
that doesn't use the normal GTK/whatever tooling. So it isn't likely that any
features will arrive 'for free', and thus everything is hard coded.
