Bug ID: 172746
Summary: "Align Bottom" button is not shown as active for the
default (Standard) vertical alignment, though the
cell is rendered bottom-aligned
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 27.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In LibreOffice Calc a cell that uses the default vertical alignment is rendered
with its content at the bottom of the cell (Calc renders
SvxCellVerJustify::Standard as bottom). However, the "Align Bottom" button in
the Formatting toolbar and in the sidebar is NOT shown as active for such
cells. The content is visibly bottom-aligned, but the UI suggests that no
vertical alignment is set.
It happens both for freshly created cells (no explicit vertical alignment) and
for cells imported from ODS/XLSX without an explicit vertical-align - in
particular .ods documents originating from Excel, where the vertical alignment
maps to the Standard value.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new spreadsheet in LibreOffice Calc (or open an .ods that came from
Excel with default/bottom vertical alignment).
2. Select a cell whose content is displayed at the bottom of the cell.
3. Look at the "Align Bottom" button in the Formatting toolbar (or sidebar).
Actual Results:
The cell content is aligned to the bottom, but the "Align Bottom" button is not
shown as active/pressed, so the UI does not reflect the vertical alignment that
is actually in effect.
Expected Results:
The "Align Bottom" button is shown as active/pressed, reflecting how the cell
is rendered.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Calc maps SvxCellVerJustify::Standard (the pool default, and the result of both
ODS and XLSX import when no explicit vertical alignment is present) to bottom
when rendering, but the toolbar/sidebar button state handler did not treat
